When it comes to Special Restaurant Licenses, also known as SFX licenses, there are special requirements in the Bay County with regard to their issue, as follows: Licenses are issued pursuant to Florida Statute 561.20(2)(a)4 to establishments that maintain a bona fide restaurant having 2,000 square feet of floor space under permanent cover, seating for 150 patrons, and deriving 51% of their gross revenue from the sale of food and non-alcoholic beverages.
As far as special hotel licenses are concerned, the current regulations in Bay County state that liquor licenses are issued to hotels, motels and motor courts that have 100 guestrooms or more and that register at least 51% of their gross revenue from the rental of rooms.
